Sendal

Sendal is an IoT, machine learning smart home platform. I was brought on as creative director to completely reimagine consumer facing touchpoints, including the application, website, and all marketing materials.

Brand Identity

A san serif font was chosen to keep a clean modern look. Taking it a step further by customizing a simplified “a” that would be used as a favicon and other icon purposes.

Application

Our target audience owns a smartphone, but has never downloaded an app – the goal was to make the experience as effortless as possible. To help achieve this, a system of intuitive pop overs were developed for quick at-a-glance views into the home.

The top portion of the layout is where Sendal Intelligent Services live. The lower half contains all of the users connected smart devices in which they can control directly from Sendal.

The UI was designed to feel friendly, close, and reliable – like an old friend you don’t see often but when you catch up they give the best advice.

Custom icons and animations

A balance of soft radii with limited hard corners gave a friendly and refined look to the playful visuals.

Marketing communications

Various documents were created to engage builders and homebuyers detailing the benefits of each of Sendal’s intelligent home services.

Sendal.io was created to serve multiple audiences – curious homeowners could explore the various services, and builders and technology partners could find information needed to utilize Sendal services in their own projects.

The Sendal promotional video was created to showcase the platform’s powerful capabilities.
